So, what's this site all about?

I had an idea for displaying my photos in a very simple fashion, but I never pushed to get it done. Recently, my son, Steven, came up with the solution. This website, the computer on which the photos reside, the knowledge of how to make it work, and the actual work of constructing this site are all his. So, if you enjoyed anything about this site itself, such as the fact that my photos finally have a home online, thank Steven.  The photos themselves, with a few listed exceptions, are mine.

Someday, for those who care to read about it, I may bore you with a list of all the cameras that I have owned and when I owned them (No, I won't. I don't even want to bore ME with that. Besides, I'm sure that I can't remember them all.). For the most recent years leading up to 2020, I used a Canon 1Dx Mark II with a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 II L for handball action. For non-action, I use a Canon 5DS R and a Canon 7D Mark II.  For flash, I use a Canon 600EX-RT. Other Canon lenses include a 16-35mm f/4 L, 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 STM, 100mm II L macro, and a 100-400mm f/5.6 L II. I switched video cameras from a Panasonic to a Canon Vixia HFG30. I have 2 Gitzo graphite tripods.  An Arca Swiss monoball head with a Wimberly clamp sits on top of the heavy duty tripod. The lighter one also has a ball head. As of July 2021, I changed everything except for the tripod and flash, and it's about to change again.

With that list of equipment, I've run out of excuses for lousy photos.
